The clear sense of direction that Mario and Gill have followed for over twenty years is continuing. The range of services and facilities already offered are to be considerably expanded.

Dementia Care Centre
At Pendine Park we have extensive experience of helping people with dementia. Cae Bryn was purpose built to cater for people with a range of mental health conditions. We are now planning to build a new £4million Centre of Excellence - Bodlondeb (Place of Contentment), which will have 64 beds in 8 units to recognize levels of need, gender and age and to ensure dignity. It is designed to offer freedom with safety.

At the same time the Teaching Care Centre will continue to work with staff ensuring they are highly trained and that residents benefit from the latest innovative therapies. Also our domiciliary arm, Independent Living Options, will prove care and support in the community. With the combination of Bodlondeb, The Teaching Care Centre and Domiciliary Care we will create a Dementia Care Community offering flexible care on site at Pendine Park and in peoples homes.

The Pavilion
We are excited to be planning this social environment to add to the quality of life for all our residents. The Pavilion will be an area residents can enjoy on their own, with other residents and with their families and friends who visit. The plan is to include a café, bar, ice cream parlour, gift shop, cinema, function room & spa.

Of course this is not the end, a continuous course of development will continue - not just structurally but the personal development of staff through our Teaching Care Centre.
